jia you!

Had Physics remedial today from 08 30 to 10 45. Mr Lau went through Electromagnetism and Cathode Ray Oscilloscope structured questions in the ten-year series. I can feel that he is worried about our understanding of Physics when he was talking to us about the correct attitude and correct ways to study Physics, since Physics is our class's weakest science. To me, any remedial of any subject will definitely be beneficial to me. It certainly aids me in the understanding of the concepts. Perhaps the only barrier is my memorisation. It is, after all, with what you memorise of the subject that you can answer the questions during examination. *~*

After that, I went to Jurong East Library to study with my friends (Yuan Kang, Yanli, Eleen, Yang Ce, Yan Hong, Yu Kai, and many 23rd SC plus 4/5 friends were there too). It is as if a study gathering. To many, library will be their place to go every day after school and during weekend. To me, it is only weekend that I will go library to study, since I need a couple of hours of afternoon nap after school. We stayed there mugging till the library was going to close. It was very cold in the library that everyone of us was complaining while trying hard to concentrate. Nonetheless, we still like the environment as it provides a conducive environment for us to study where no where else can provide. You know what, I finally understand how to solve questions on heat capacity! Lolz. Thanks to Yuan Kang lo. It is a tiring day for me after facing problems after problems the whole day. Begin with the end in mind. It is worthwhile after all.

Soon, common tests are coming. Geography test next Monday. Other tests are coming up. Science Practical Prelims are coming up. 3 more weeks to my English O Level Oral Examination. 6 more weeks to Preliminary examination. Then, it will be O level Science Practical and finally O Level Written papers. It is the last lap already. Jia you! =)

LCD

21st July: Annual Leaders Commencement Day. 23rd SC stepped down = 24th SC took over = Sec 2 councillors ended their probation!

Leaders Commencement Day: Enjoyable & terrible day for me. -_-" Ironic? lolx.

Finally, it's the day for 23rd SC to step down while 24th SC was officially formed today. Mixed feelings. Happy that all the sec 2 councillors have received their ties and tiepins, and also the formation of 24th SC, but sad that we may have lesser time spent with one another. OK, let's face the reality of life and life has to move on. We went through the procedures: firstly, various CCA leaders were recognized to the whole school, followed by the receiving the ties and tiepins by sec 2 councillors, receiving of certificates, collar badge and plaques by 23rd SC, and finally the officially taking over of the 24th SC. After about 1 hour, the ceremony ended, and it's photo-taking session for the councillors! Quite fun while taking photo [keeping our memories of one another]. Especially during the batch photo-taking, there are many cameras ready to shoot us. The 'cameramen' and 'camerawomen' stood in one line ready to take us, and caused us being lost in the direction in terms of where we were supposed to look at as we did not know which camera would shoot us. LOL. Nevertheless, it's really a fun experience. [Gonna 'steal' photos of us from the others when they upload it, haha]

Then, just as when everything I thought was going to be alright, a sudden surprise shocked me! Though I did expect it to happen to me even before the commencement of LCD, but when I saw the sec 2s seem 'normal' and that we were having fun taking photos, I thought that my 'disaster' was never going to happen. Out of sudden, a group of my Sec 2s called me out when I was busying helping others to take photos. When I saw both their evil looks and grins, which I believed that they were trying hard to hide, I suddenly realize what's going to happen to me in just a while. They were trying hard to carry me while I was fighting hard to escape. I looked at the other 23rd SC and you know what, NONE of them came to 'help' me out and were even happily continuing taking their photos, as if nothing had happened! >.< Too bad lo, 1 against so many boys, confirm lose. And there I was being carried to the toilet. After that, the very first thing they did was aiming to take off my pants! My hands were held tight behind my back by some of the boys while 2 other boys attempted to take off my pants, while the rest of the boys, though not 'joining' in literally, but was watching happily, I think. I clearly heard a boy even said," Where is the zip huh?" !!! -_-" The boy who said it was a NCC boy [I am kind enough not to disclose your name... haha]. Within a short while, it's 'over'. Then, I received a skirt which I knew was yangce's. The problem is I couldn't zip it up fully. I was forced to walk out, parade as what they would say, with my skirt 3/4 zipped. Fearing that it would drop at any moment, I held it tightly. Then, photo-taking session with our 'good' babies in the canteen..haha... That's not the end yet. My 'good' babies carried me and attempted to~~ [Ooops, inappropriate to post here...HAHA] And I saw clearly the faces of my 'good' boys. Don't worry, I'll remember your 'happy' faces for a long long time with that satifying grins. After that, it's, again, photo-taking session, but with some of the 23rd SC. How 'good' they are. As the saying goes: like 'good' seniors, like 'good' babies.

Finally, the attention was changed. It's then GeokWoon's and Sabrina's, as well as the Izzat's and TzeLin's turns! I could 'rest' for a while. Hmm..since it happened only once in a lifetime, I hope, so it's OK for me lo.. Bringing laughter to others is a good thing right? HAHAHA...

A million thanks to my sec 1 coordinators: WenJin & Chermin, Sec 2 coordinators: ChinHua & QingYan, teachers-in-charge, especially Ms Tang, and the 21st, 22nd and the 23rd Student Councils, and also my brilliant, cute, fantastic, great and wonderful Sec 2s!! All of you have made my life a more enjoyable and fruitful journey! Thank You! (=

mindef

I went to the Jurong East library today to study. Supposed to meet izzat, ct, fahmi, khai n and des to study together, but think i reached there early, couldn't find them, and I spotted a vacant table (first ever vacant table I've ever spotted myself in a library!) so decided to study alone. Furthermore, I think I can concentrate better studying alone. Then, a dating couple joined my table to study. With a glance, they were mugging for their A level (studying Economics) while I was mugging for O level. Since they are a couple, the sweet conversations are therefore unavoidable. -.- I endured a couple of hours mugging while hearing (not listening) their conversations. In order to concentrate on my work, I tried my very best not to be distracted by them-and I succeeded-85% of the time-while the other 15% made me quite uncomfortable.

After studying for about 6 hours in the library, I left and was heading towards the Popular to browse for books, though I did not intend to buy any-just to see if there are any good books to me. In the end, there wasn't any books that interest me, so I went home, and that's my day...

Oh ya, I received a leaflet-folded into a letter-yesterday, regaring the National Service from the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) I am going to serve in 1 and a half year time. This letter is for those whose age is 16 and a half years males who are eligible for NS. Wei Chiang had also received it (obviously..) Lolz... Basically, it is to inform us to prepare ourselves for NS and some informations about NS. Wonder how NS will be like~~ (",)Time passes real fast...

a long day~

It's a long day for me. Class 4-5 had a Chemistry lesson at 8.45am about Alkane and Alkene today at AV Rm. Well, things are getting more confusing as more contents are being introduced. What 1,2-dichloromethane lah, what but-1-ene lah and what 2,2-methylpropane der.. Well, exceptional good memory are needed to MEMORISE them (memorise=seems to be a vulgar word for us when we will complain and complain).

After the lesson ended about 10.50am, we had a last Ex-co meeting about the value system which 23rd SC is going to present to Student Council. The product is yet to be disclosed.

Then, meiqi, yeele, tzelin, sab, eliz, ct, izzat, wc, aaron, des, yiqing, khai, allan, geokwoon, zc and me went jp planning to buy gifts for our partners. I had been walking round and round the jp, go up and down the escalators umpteenth times. It's tiresome to me and my legs are...well...just tired lo. (stopped for a while to drink orange juice) We'd been thinking real hard what exactly we should buy for our partners. Finally, only the presidential team had managed to buy while the sec 2 coord done half their task. For the others, we had left jp with the same situation as we had entered jp -_-"

Next, about 4.15pm, izzat, khai and me decided to go JE library to STUDY after thinking that Jurong West library was just too noisy. Siti was already there studying. Khai and me felt that our stomachs making hungry pangs so we decided to go to Mac to eat while Izzat joined siti in the library. And guess what hilarious thing happen? Khai actually ordered "ZINGER MEAL" in Mac!! So funny! The girl who was taking Khai's order told him, "Zinger is there" with her fingers pointing towards to the KFC opposite. HAHAHA... What a joke man... And after we'd finish our meal, we joined izzat and siti. Fahmi joined in later. So 5 of us studied and studied, while joking with one another! Had a great time laughing. At abt 8.20pm, I left first while they continued studying.

Personally, I think that I really cannot study at home. There's just too much distraction around me! Library indeed provide a conducive environment for me to study, it is just that the chance of getting a table and a chair to sit is low. Still, library's environment is definitely much much better than at home, so I reckon I will spend more time to study in the library as O level is looming. 8-)

juz after oral

Oh Yes!! My Chinese 'O' Level Oral Exam has just ended!!! I'm the third of the list, you may imagine how nervous I was then when I was waiting. However, the reality is on the contrary - I did not feel that nervous as I thought I would be. I tried calming myself down during the 5 minutes when I was practising the passage, which was about Orchard Road for your information-nothing interesting to me. After the 5 minutes, I was told to sit at a chair before the examination tables where a person was then taking the oral exam before me. I tried keeping my mind blank, not to think of anything - the best way to stay calm and relax myself, in my opinion. Finally, the crucial moment arrived when I was told to walk over to the examination table to take my O Level Chinese Oral Examination 2006. I walked steadily towards the tables, tried hard to smile, greeted politely to the teachers, handed over my EZ Link to the examiner, and finally sat down in my most comfortable way. I started reading the passage aloud. Everything was going on smoothly to me, but, at the very last second line, where there was written: xiao huo zi, I read: xiao xiao huo zi! Oh my goodness, how can I make such a stupid mistake?! Should there be without that mistake, I would think that I have read the passage up to my fullest satisfaction. In order not to show my mistake that obvious, I pretended, or should I say that I treated nothing wrong had happened. I think that should be the way things should be done just to cover up what you have done wrong in oral.

After that, it was the conversation part. The question is: Some people say that the youngs nowadays like to seek materialistic satisfaction. Do you agree? My response started with: Basically, I agree with the statement, bla bla bla... Overall, I think that I managed to express my views across, but just that I thought of a few more points that I can very well elaborate if I thought of that during the conversation only after I left the examination tables. It's such a waste! I wonder how I will score. Anyway, what I can say is that Oral is already over for me! There's still a last paper for Chinese, the Listening Comprehension next Monday (17 July). Hope I listen correctly!

Phew, Chinese Oral is over-a big barrier to me is now over. The next BIG thing shall be 'O' Level Englsh Oral Examination!

oral

Exactly 1 more week to my Chinese O level Oral Examination (10 July)! I'd be lying to u should I tell u that I am not at all anxious and nervous. I know that I've not really performed up to both my teacher and my own expectations, so really need to buck up and make use of the advantage of having more days to prepare than e rest of the cohort since I am tested on e last day. It's always e nervousness in me that causes me to underperform in oral examination, and I am almost used to it! Now, I really need to learn to relax and keep myself in an optimum condition for taking the oral. I just need to visualise e scene where I am not at all nervous and am performing to my best, then leave the examination hall with no regrets and a sense of satisfaction. Wow, I'd be really gleeful then! So ya, need to train myself to stay calm. Although there's FIFA World Cup Final e day before, or should I say 12 hours before e start of my oral exam, I, of course, would not torture myself by forcing myself to be awake to watch e final match and then, most probably, to underperform in e oral exam! Haha... O level is important! Lolx... Good luck to everyone! =]
