what a day~

Today is a tiring day. First lesson of the day is Chinese Language and Literature which is one of my favorite subjects. We had a so-called test on meaning of the words which are uncommon nowadays. And I won yanli! HAHAHA! The feeling is great. But actually okay only cos it's only her... Lolz! Then we had assembly by the principal and I'm not interested in what he said. After that, it's a History lecture and more than half of the studens pon class. The teacher was really angry. And really, History is not for me and I'll never ever take History as my examination subject. Then came the most torturing time - 2 hours of GP! The teacher was teaching how to identify Main Idea, Elab, Supporting Details and Summative Statement for the whole 2 hours. I really cannot take it for the last 45 mins or so. But then she talked to us about a event organised by the Social Development Society or something for the university students which match-make people in order to help people to get their future husband/wife. And she mentioned that mostly are those desperate people who participated it so we can imagine the kind of peple who would participate this kind of event, and the class laughed. At least this helps to kill the boredom.

Later, I had E-club. Lazy to elaborate on it... Basically I went there with a stomach filled with only a single roti prata. And I was feeling the hunger pangs every now and then. And I'm still feeling it now~ Lolx.. Alright, shall stop here~ (=

Anyway, after school, yanli, eng tong, li ning and me went to a place to get our goods for JJ Affinity. The venue and the things are not disclosed since it is a competition between the 4 Business Units (BU) within Entreprenuerial Club (E-Club) to see which BU gets the most profit one month later. We are from BU3. So BU3 Jia You!! E-Club is getting busier. There is a meeting tomorrow till 6 p.m. to discuss about our marketing strategies, as well as a talk by someone about being an entreprenuer. I think it's ok la though I'm not really that interested. Treat it as a learning journey ba..

Thursday will be a treat by yanhong! Yay! Can feel free to eat what I want liao! Friday will be a session with the principal and the CLEP (or iLEP). Dunno what it's about but still have to go, unwillingly. Sunday maybe going to S.H.E. autograph session. After that, just one more week, O level result will be released. Feeling a little nervous liao. =/

Ok, shall stop here. Ta Ta!

quick update

Here's a quick update as requested by eunice & mengli.. haha...

School to me has been boring these days. Partly is because only introduction of various subjects were being told to us during every lecture which I am not interested at all. But the major part is because I'm a Science enthusiast. I joined Arts stream is just to try out the Arts subjects during this PAE period. As expected, History serves to only bore me. History is my least favourite subject out of my subject combination (my subject combination for PAE: general paper, chinese language & literature, economics, mathematics and history).

I have no comments about GP cos it's all about arguing your stance and it's similar to English lesson when I always write argumentative essay. For Chinese Language & Literature, my class just received a homework which is to be handed in this coming Wednesday. The homework is to write a 500-word essay about self-introduction! ===.=== What an exceptionally boring topic for me to write. Gonna write it during tomorrow's break.

For economics, I've started to like this subject cos to me it's getting more interesting. The only part which I hated this subject is that its examination format. That is, candidates of Economics papers have to write many essays! Dunno how many essays I've to write for just Econs lor. Think is 3 or 4...

And each and every of my subject (ecxept Math) requires me to write essay! I think i's about 10 essays altogether. I hate writing essay most. I hate writing many words. In secondary school, I never liked writing English composition and Social Studies essays. Now I have to write even more essays than ever. Moreover, the number of words requirement for each essay increases. -_-"

For Math, since I am only taking H1 mathematics, it's manageable. Now teaching about inequalities which is just like Sec 3 A.Math. I'm looking forward to new topics though.

Anyway, I'm trying to get used to the fact that essay is gonna be part of my life , at least in this first 3 months. Well, who knows, maybe I like to write essay after that. LOL.. (diaox.. so optimistic.. haha)

There're quite a number of things I like about JJC. Firstly, students, except on Monday, are not required to wear uniforms which makes us feel more comfortable. Secondly, we can rent equipments such as badminton, table tennis and volleyball to play after school. The hall is opened for use. It makes me look forward to the end of school every day! Haha.. Thirdly, it's the air-cons in the classroom. We are spared from the humidity, especially in the afternoon, or we'll be having a hard time trying to concentrate. Of course, the contents of the lessons taught is another issue. Lolz...

Alright, shall stop here for now~
More to update soon~

I don't know if I can overcome it. I don't even know exactly how you feel. I am lost.

Tonight

Tonight

Tonight we remember
The times that we spent here
The joy and the laughter that we shared

Tonight we cherish
The moments spent together
Because it's the only time we have

Look at us and see our smiles
This is where we all belong
I remember the times we shared together
Until my last December

Tonight ...

JJC Orientation Camp 1

Just came back from my 3D2N orientation camp held in JJC. Through this camp, I make a lot more friends in a shorter time. The majority of the JJCians are friendly and that makes bond-building an easier job. In my group, most of the guys are friendly, as well as LAME. Being LAME, to me, is a good thing. Simple reason: I am a lame person too. 0_o" Hence, everything is made easier. 'Ice is easier to break.!' Bond is thus easier to build!

Having had expeiences in organizing a few camps in Student Council in secondary school, I can understand that keeping events to run smoothly and follow according to the tight schedule is definitely not an easy task. You will need to have a clear and detailed planning and this has to be done early. You will also need to be able to foresee possible problems that may arise during the camp which would disrupt the events such as raining. Of course, there are many more factors needed to be completed and I shan't continue or it'll be boring...

On the 1st day of camp, I woke up at 5.28am just to get myself everything prepared for the camp, and of course not to be late as I, yanli & yangce had decided to meet up at JP bus interchange and I was late for 10+ minutes on the Admin Day. However, I still reach at 6.38am (6.30am is the meeting time). Fortunately, those 2 were later than me by 4 minutes. On the first day, the campers and the leaders played water bomb! It was indeed a MASS WATER BOMB! Many gallons of water was wasted though. LOL. We threw the water bombs at one another. It was fun cos of the fact that you are given a chance to wet people but at the same time you yourself would not want to get wet. Still, I got wet. All due to Alvin Lim! (not Alvin Lum... haha) All the campers have a great great afternoon. After dinner, the campers learnt many songs whereby some of them are composed by ex-JJCians. The lyrics of the songs are very meaningful indeed! To me, the most meaningful song is 'Tonight'. The first 2 stanzas of this song are already extremely meaninigful which talked about tonight is the last few moments we got to get together and after which, it is no longer that easy to gather together. Too bad I can't remember the lyrics. =/ The campers slept in the hall which was damn damn damn cold cos of the air-con surrounding us and kept blowing cold air which sank onto us. It's a hard time for me to endure the coldness "Brrrrr" through the night which was spposed to be the most comfortable and relaxing moments of the day. I even dreaded for the sun to rise and for the time to pass by faster.

We woke up at 5.45am for most campers. At around 6.45am, it was Physical Conditioning / Exercise time. The advisor of the camp, Mr Liow, invited some forigners to teach the rest how to speak the numbers 1 to 10 in their languages (German, Korean) and we'll learn them while doing pumping. X/... Overall, it was not as tough as I expected. *phew... Next event was a game involving not only water, but flour! Playing with flour in camp was not my first time and I knew how smelly and dirty that can be if you were to be in contact with flour. I even got scolded by my mum 2 years ago when I attended my 2nd Induction camp in secondary school, all beacuse of the flour! Hence, I kept myself a distance away from anyon who had a packet of 'dough' with them. In the end, I was successful! Yeah! LOL.. In the afternoon, we played a game which involved, again, water and flour. Again, I had to be alert at all time, making sure no flour was near me at all time. And again, I succedded. That saved many troubles asyou do not need to wash away the 'dough' when you get home. The nose is also spared from the stench produced by the flour.

We learnt about 6 mass dances in 2 days which were to be danced during the JJ Night on the 2nd night. Mass dances was my favourite event in the orientation cos I like to move my body. haha.. The councillors teaching us danced really great! They're cool! Christina, the councillor who taught us all the dance steps, is very patient and always keep her smiles. Though we were at times quite noisy, she was, still, patient and continued to put up her wide smiles. Thanks for that! I think it's been hard on her who needed to teach us patiently, remembering all the dance steps and to remind us the steps coming up while dancing. Her dance partner, Zhong Ru, is a talented councillor. He dances well and also plays the piano well! The other 2 councillors, Chengdi and Benjamin, who were the emcees talked really well. I think they have the potential to become hosts. [thanks kS for telling me their names ^^]

But learning 6 mass dances and remembering them in such a short time was not easy. Except those who had superb memory, most of us couldn't remember the steps and react fast enough. The moves were fast and we were also required to turn rounds quite a number of times. Still, all of us truly enjoyed the JJ Night. The decoration was grand with ballons floating and with the huge banner hanging at the stage. It's a bit squeezy though with almost 1000 campers and leaders there in the hall. At one time, the hall was damn warm that all of us were perspiring. Then, my friend told me that it was because the air-con couldn't work for some time. =.=" Everyone was very high. The atmosphere was great! I had a wonderful & memorable experience in the JJ Night.

The OGLs taught us many cheers which are really nice. "Yippa unde neh", "Chiwawa", "Xi Shua Shua", "Super Solid", "Ke Papa", "Bom Bom Pa", "We feel good!", "Yeah X3" and many many more... They also taught us many kinda claps. "Silent Clap", "Lame Clap", "Super Lame Clap", "Ghostly Clap", "Tommy Clap" and bla bla bla. LOLX...

Through this camp, I could see that all the councillors and OGLs had put in their best efforts into this huge project to make it fun and memorable for us. Their determination, passion and hardwork touch me alot. Having insufficient sleeping time and to have to still shout out loud and louder next morning is definitely not easy. I think all the organizing committee and the OGLs have done a superb job. OG 1 had left me a deep impression. All of us were strangers on the first day but we are now joking and laughing at one another! The changes we had gone through in such a short time are, well, amazing and fantastic! haha... =]]

back after a long long time...

It's been a long time since I last blogged. Too many things had happened and I dunno where to start with! Anyway, first of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! A new year, a new beginning!

During the last 2 weeks, I've been going out with friends and also working as a flyers-distributer. I am only replacing my friends for the work and I worked only for 4 days. Altogether, I've earned $205. Not too bad for 4 days la. Haa.. Other times, I've been spending time with yanhong, yukai, sokteng and yanli. There's also a BBQ party on 27th Dec for all graduating students. The BBQ party is fun! It's since have been a long long time when we got together and prepare for such a party. Quite a lot of work need to be done before start of the party such as cutting fruits, heating up chocolates to get them to melt, washing plates, washing chicken wings and sting rays, preparing soup to get ready for steamboat and bla bla bla. But with teamwork, all of these were done in just a couple of time! The sense of satisfaction is great! =) I get to see many of the sec 4 friends. Many of them had their hair dyed / highlighted. Some are nice while others are...eh.. can be improved la. Lol...

Today went to IMM with my mum. I spent a total of S$111.60 after buying my clothes! First time spending such a large sum of $$$! So my 2007's first resolution is NOT to buy expensive things until February! I also need to spend $27+ for my concession as I need to attend lessons in JJC for PAE. I'm in Family 1, Orientation Group 1. My OGL is Gareth. Now I'm quite looking forward to the JC life and the Orientation Camp! But the camp costs $65 and yet again I need to fork out more money. =.=" After slacking for a month, now I think I am ready for the stressful and hectic lifestyle as expected in junior colleges. Once again, I'll be facing the STRESS and going to FORCE myself to MEMORISE FACTS for 'A' LEVEL!

(diao~)

It's a long post. Till then, bye! (",)
