Student Leaders Camp

I was really zonked after SLC.
No. of hours of sleep (Day 0 + Day 1 + Day 2 + Day 3)= abt 5 hrs
When I reached home at about 5.30 pm, I took my shower str8 away after unpacking all my stuff, and slept till e nxt day 11.25 a.m. I dreamt nothing... Well, maybe I was too exhausted tat my brain didn't actually create pictures~~~ When 'BREAKCAMP' was announced by the camp commandants, 23rd feelings were mixed. We were delighted that e camp was a success, on the other hand, it oso marked the end of 23rd SC.

We adopted an enitrely new approach in running e whole camp as times have changed. Thou we're given a short time replanning the whole time schedule on Day 0 nite, e result was positive. I dun think I'm gonna say out e whole camp in details, so I'll just summarize...

I had a sleepless night on Day 0, all bcos of e hard & uncomfortable tables, and waited longingly for Day 1. On Day 1, evryting went smoothly. The campfire was a breakthrough in SC camp! Some of the performances were impressive and some of the performers were extremely impressive! And we sang songs, which liven up the atmosphere~ Woo, tat's was veri nice :)

On Day 2, however, we met expected situations tat wuld hinder our plans, that is, it rained during Treasure Hunt. I&C and Sec 1 coord had planned tis activity and put in lotsa efforts, but in the end, we were forced to stop tis activity. And we evacuated all campers to e big shelter and danced Friendship Dance. Evryone enjoyed it though...

On Day 3, time passed veri fast. In the blink of an eye, 'BRAKCAMP' was announced. 23rd had mixed feelings: We were delighted tat SLC, our last project, was a success, on the other hand, 23rd SC will be stepping to the history of Student Council...

After breakcamp, Ms Tang had a short mtg wif 23rd SC. She said that SLC was a success and tat e teachers were delighted tat 23rd SC managed to adopt a new approach and still run e camp well. She expressed her sincere gratitude to us: Thank you, 23rd Student Council! as the last sentence of the short meeting. We were touched.

It made us think of the times when we were just recruited into Student Council when were in Sec 1, went through Induction Camp together held by WenJin & Chermin which was physically demanding, received out junior badge, went through NACLI, did our morning duties, attended Interactive Day Camp, went through SLC held by Eugene & Serene Lim, organized AGM, received our ties and tiepins together as a batch on stage on Investiture, went through 2nd Induction Camp held by Daron & Joanne, received our senior badges on stage, organized Interactive Day Camp, went through 2nd SLC held by Quan Rong & Charmaine, got to know our posts for 23rd SC, organized Leaders Commencement Day, organized Teachers' Day, organized Induction Camp '05, organized 4-day Orientation Programme, organized SLC and now going to step down soon~~~ There were, of course, many other projects that we organized too... And it was a fruitful journey for 23rd Student Council.

Ms Ong oso spoke to e boys when we were packing pur bags in our bunk. She joined SC not too long ago when she first oversee the Induciton Camp when 23rd SC held till now. She said that 23rd SC had left a deep impression and memories in them, and emphasized that it was not easy leaving a deep impression in someone. And 23rd SC had a proud history written in the history of JSS Student Council. Now, we're promoted to senior stage, a tertiary level. Our focus now wuld be on 'O' level and get good result, and den come back to SC to help out next time. I'm sure that 23rd SC had left a deep impression in Ms Ong.

To Sec 2 councillors, you had not disppointed us in SLC. In fact, many of u had surpassed wad u tot u culd do. You are a good batch, which we had tot so in Induction Camp, and teachers oso told us tat too. We hope that ur batch wuld be able to receive ur tie & tiepins as a batch, juz like 23rd SC. Some of ur batchmates didn't manage to come to SLC, so each and everyone of u need to help dem, and they nid to prove themselves tat they are worthy of the tie and tiepins, which is definitely a great challenge to Sec 2 batch. Continue to Shine with Confidence, Lead with Pride!
