Today is a day packed with events!
This moring, I woke up at around 7.30a.m. to get ready to school for the PAE briefing. Till now, I still have not decided which JC to go to!!! So angry with myself cos I just cannot make up my mind on this three-month course. Like that then JAE how? lolx. I have no idea. But I would definitely make sure I complete my registration by tomorrow, no matter how! Yeap!
The briefing ended at around 9.30. Then went JP with yanhong & yanli to shop. After that, 3 of us took MRT going to Clementi KBox, again! haha. At the MRT, we met our sec 1 coordinator, Chermin, and another senior from 21st SC, Khairul. Long time never see them le. Think the next time we'll meet again is SLC '07 ba. The 3 of us waited outside the KBox for sokteng and yukai who came shortly. Then, we started to sing sing sing sing sing sing....... HAH.. Our KBox period was supposed to end at 2 p.m. But we left at only 2.30 p.m. It's just a norm for us. lolx.
After Kbox-ing, I went home to change to 23rd batch tee and went to school for 23rd SC farewell party! Can see lots of efforts were put into this farewell party by the sec 2s and 24th SC. Hereby, I would like to say 'thank you!'. =) The games are fun, though we perspired. -.-" lolx. Thanks for the thoughtful gifts too!! Hmm, I missed the dance performed by the sec 2s! sigh. The people sitting around me said that the dance was cute, which made me really want to watch. But too bad, I was late. =x.
At the end of farewell, Ms Tang spoke to us. Once again, I was touched by her speech regarding her appreciation towards 23rd SC. I think whatever 23rd SC did would not have been possible without Ms Tang, who was indeed an inspiring teacher. She is one of the teachers whom I respect most. :) Before we left, the School Spirit and Moral Leader, yanhong, led us our batch cheer and Student Council cheer. Looks like that was the last time he, being the School Spirit and Moral Leader, to lead cheers le ba~
Straight after the farewell, I had to rush home cos my family was going to the temple in Teban to pray. Though I am a free-thinker, I would just go with my family. It's been a long time since we went to the temple. I like going to the temple last time cos there were many fish that were long. But just now when we went there, no more fish le. :s So I started to light up the joss sticks and start to pray the 'gods'. The dust or whatever that were produced as the joss sticks burnt got into my eyes, and my right eye was actually tearing while praying the 'gods'. As both of my hands were not clean as I was holding the joss sticks, I could not wipe my tears away. So my mum helped me wipe my tears away from my face! hahaz.
After burning the papers (dunno what's that called) to the 'whoever' (also dunno the purpose), we went to the other side of the temple, where you can collect water by kneeling down in front of the 'god'. I have always liked this and I would collect the water in a cup and drink it up. Then, my mum and sis would collect flower petals for us to put together with water to shower. Though I dun see the purpose of taking a shower with petals, but I just follow my parents' instructions. After all, it gives a different feel la.. HAHA.. Then, we shake the cylinder with 100 sticks in it, such that until one of the sticks had escaped from the cylinder and dropped on the floor. After that, we would take a pink slip according to the number which is written on the stick. The pink slip tells you your current situation and future, whether they are good or bad.
I daresay my family is a very humorous and funny family! All of us have our own unique way of creating laughters! HAHA. I was the first to shake the cylinder, cos I 'kiasu'! lolx. Guess what, I had a BAD for my first time. Though I am a free-thinker, and I dun care about such 'prophecy' at all, I refuse to admit 'defeat' by my luck. I decided to try a sceond time. So I shake the cylinder again, and a stick fell off. And I got
BAD again! =.=" Again, refusing to admit 'defeat', I shake again. This time, finally, I dd not get BAD, nor did I get GOOD. I got MEDIUM. Haish... After 3 tries, I did not attempt to shake the cylinder anymore. At least I've escaped from BAD.
For my sis, she was 'lucky' lo. Her first try was already GOOD. For my mum, her first try was, like me, BAD. HAHA. Then, like me, she wanted to try again!! I laughed until dunno wad man!! The scene was so funny. She also dun wan to have a BAD lot. Her second try was a 'success', she got a GOOD. For my dad, after shaking many many many many times before 1 stick fell out, he got a BAD. So he decided to buy a a candle which is in the pineapple-shaped glass. Later, he shake again but unfortunately, he got the same thing. lolx. After that, he thought that burning away that pink slips would help.. Hmm, superstitious.
My mum then also decided to burn away her BAD pink slip. Then, the hilarious scene happened. After she put the slip on fire, she intended to place the burning paper at another place. Guess what, the paper has almost burnt finish and the fire caught her fingers. (When I saw this, I couldn't control but to laugh!) Then, no choice, she had to release her fingers and both me and her, as well as the person in-charge of the temple, watched the burning paper falling to the ground, becoming ashes. (I was laughing like mad, and had to run to another place to continue laughing!) Imagine the person in-charge looking at us burning his property in front of him and moreover, ashes falling that dirty the floor, what kind of expression could he have given? I didn't see his expression because I didn't want to. My mum must be feeling embarrassed but she just acted nothing happened. HAHA..
After that, we took bus 30 home. The bus was super duper cold! My mum long wanted to release her bladder and moreover, we had to sit in the cold bus for 15 mins before reaching our home. She told me that the coldness made her even more want to release her bladder and more difficult to hold it! It was extremely hilarious man! HAHAHAHA.. After alighting, I couldn't see properly with my spectacles as my spectacles became blurred due to condensation of water vapour on my colder lens. (alright, i know no mood for science...) I enjoyed walking with my fogged spectacles though.
Finally, my day ends...
Before I end my entry, yup, bibi is right! The white cat said 'meow'.. Haha.. lame.. but congrats la.. lolx...
